The Ruigang field in South Texas is one of many important production fields associated with the Frio-Wickersburg monocline flexure associated with the Shamuddas-Vandebelt fault Parallel, and on its descent tray. Ruigang started exploration in 1935 and discovered the Furaiole reservoir in 1938, and the Woxbugh reservoir in 1950. The development of the Fioro and Wixsburg shallow reservoirs continued until today. The application of modern exploration tools in the late 1960s shows that there is potential for the future development and reserves increase of the Ruigang oilfield. Improved seismic technology, including vibrating seismic sources and digital processing, and the deep information it provides, for the first time make all of the Ruigang structures available for interpretation. In the old oilfields that have been developed, these sources push the field to the next stage of drilling to find the final reserves.
