Objective To study the effect of molybdenum on the accumulation of glycyrrhizic acid in medicinal materials and to explore its mechanism based on material distribution. Methods Using the method of potted vermiculite, four annual molybdenum transplanting seedlings were used as experiment materials, and four molybdenum concentration levels were set at 0, 0.52, 5.2 and 10.4 mg / L respectively, of which 0.52 mg / L was normal Hoagland The concentration of molybdenum in nutrient solution. Weekly to the basin watering nutrient solution, in order to achieve the purpose of treatment. Samples were processed for 35, 70, and 105 d, respectively. The relative amounts and absolute amounts of glycyrrhizic acid in licorice and the amounts of the components of total sugar, crude protein, crude fiber, crude fat and ash were determined. Results Molybdenum had no significant effect on the relative amount of glycyrrhizic acid, but had a significant effect on the absolute amount of molybdenum. The application of molybdenum increased the total amount of sugar, crude protein and ash, and the sum of the five main components of licorice, and decreased the amount of crude fat , The impact of crude fiber is not significant. The relative amount of glycyrrhizic acid was significantly and positively correlated with crude protein. The absolute amount of glycyrrhizic acid and crude fiber was extremely significant negative correlation, and ash, crude fat and substance was extremely significant positive correlation, and total sugar was significantly positively correlated. Conclusion Glycyrrhizic acid accumulation is closely related to the distribution of crude fiber, crude fat, ash and total sugar. Molybdenum can stimulate the synthesis of total sugar, crude fat and other substances in licorice and further promote the secondary metabolism of licorice, resulting in Glycyrrhizin formation and accumulation.
