Now that seismic technology is evolving, we can get fluid distribution of fluids in the reservoir as well as depth-related and reliable information. This information can help us make better decisions, simulating a wide range of options to optimize oil recovery, increase recovery, and reduce costs. The whole of these developments is 4-D or 3-D seismic exploration called time-lapse. In the past decade, many case studies of successful seismic reservoir monitoring techniques for the preservation of a variety of geological conditions and reservoir conditions have been published. This article explores the major issues with 4-D technology, taking into account the different stages required for ongoing successful 4-D engineering.
