In recent years, the economic and trade relations between Japan and India have been rapidly warming. The bilateral trade volume has broken through the long-term stagnation and the average annual growth rate has reached double digits. At the same time, Japan has also launched a hot investment in India: the Japanese government has sharply increased its loan to Japan and India, which has become Japan’s largest developing aid recipient. Japan’s private direct investment in India is also on the rise. The difference is that the government focuses on Indian aid for development as its infrastructure, while the private sector’s focus on direct investment in India is manufacturing. Japan’s adjustment of its investment policy toward India has exerted an influence on Japan’s investment in China and China should take corresponding measures.
