The use of pharmaceutical preparations such as tinctures, syrups, and liquid preparations, if used in small quantities for immediate use, is problematic. If a large number of pharmaceutical companies manufacture, there are many problems that need to be studied when long-term storage is required; the main issues are “precipitation” and “mouldy” during storage. Here we only describe the actual conditions in our factory for several years, for reference by our comrades. With regard to the general operation and theoretical basis of the leaching method of plant constituents, there are a lot of talks in various publications and no further explanation is given here. Reasons for the precipitation or discoloration of tinctures and tanning agents have already been published in the volume 1 of issue 11, volume 2 During the period, the Southwest Pharmaceutical Journal 1 volume 2 has been published, so it is not repeated. In order to reduce the possibility of precipitation of barium agents, filtration operations during manufacture are very important. According to our accumulated experience over the past few years, most barium agents can be filtered by sand filters; some can be filtered by filter paper; Parts should first be filtered with sand, then filter paper; some should first use the filter bag and filter paper. The specific treatment method is as follows: (1) Before some lixiviants are filtered, it is better to stand still for a certain period of time so that insoluble invalid substances can be filtered after being agglutinated to a certain extent. (2) Some precipitated particles may pass through filter paper, and sand core filtration is preferred. Some particles may be adsorbed by filter paper fibers. Filter paper is preferred. (3) After some sand core filtration, if there is still precipitation after the filter paper, the light must be filtered twice with the sand core and then the filter paper. (4) Some tinctures containing alkaloids may pass through the sand
