当我国不少学校将塑胶跑道当做教育现代化的必备设施时,有些国家则开始推崇绿色、环保的“自然风”。日本学校选择使用沙土;澳大利亚等国家的校园操场大多使用天然草坪;韩国51所学校出现“毒跑道”后,首尔市教育厅计划将问题跑道拆除,更换为人造草坪或环保磨砂跑道;即使使用塑胶跑道作为运动场地设施的国家,其标准与法律法规也十分健全,英国、美国、新西兰即是如此。
