The two-dimensional heat transfer mathematical model of solidification of the ROKOP caster at Wei Steel 1 was established and the concept of effective spray coefficient and effective specific water of the nozzle was proposed. The optimized five-section water-cooling structure software of the second cooling zone basically eliminates the quality problems of the original two-stage structure billet returning to the surface temperature in the second cooling zone and easily producing intermediate cracks in the solidification front and has been solved by the production practice prove
