西部农村有广阔的产业化发展空间,但同时又有许多不可逾越的制约因素。农村的空巢化使得农村的社区化发展陷入空谈,新农村建设也变成无本之木。重庆酉阳县铜鼓乡清泉村是一个比较典型的西部农村,就农村社区而言,得天独厚的自然条件让清泉村这一自然村落成为比较理想的社区标本,土家族和苗族的发展变化可以作为社区文化的采样进行研究。就产业化发展来看,酉阳的青蒿生产是具有特色的产业之一,青蒿生产过程的绿色设计便是产业化发展的切入点,也是整个社会创新活动的切入点。
