This paper discusses the test of using lead-based and tin-based alloy bearings in the axle boxes of railway wagon wheels. The method and device for testing bearing are introduced. Test proved that WJ-2 alloy bearing wear resistance than WJ-7 alloy bearing high. Point out that increasing the wear resistance of journal bearing can be ensured by the combination of WJ-2 alloy with improved machinability of bearings and spigots
