美术馆是公共文化服务体系的重要组成部分。美术馆作为一个公共空间,不仅具有为公众服务的社会功能,还有为公众推广、普及和传播当代艺术的责任。地方美术馆的发展与建设,秉承着公益服务、文化惠民、服务大众的宗旨,需要积极探索文化惠民新途径。当下中国正处于文化转型期,公众审美教育的推广、公共平台的搭建以及公共媒体的形成,是地方美术馆公共教育活动介入公众生活的必要手段。因此,如何改善博物馆、美术馆相对单一和狭隘的收藏展示工作,有效地将适时、多样、双向的公共教育推广活动运用到美术馆的管理与实务中,是每一个地方美术馆必须重视的问题。
