Objective To analyze and study the significance of arterial blood gas analysis in neonates with asphyxia. Methods In this study, 80 neonates born in our hospital were selected for study. These newborns were divided into two groups according to whether they were asphyxiated or not. Each group included 40 patients. Blood samples were collected from these newborns by using a fully automated blood gas analyzer The changes in PCO2, pH, PO2, and BE levels between the two groups were compared. Results Compared with the control group, the levels of pH, PO2 and BE in observation group were significantly lower (P <0.05), while the levels of PCO2 in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Analysis of arterial blood gas in neonates with asphyxia can make rapid diagnosis of neonatal hypoxia, and then make it an early rescue, and to provide a more realistic experimental basis for its early resuscitation, The phenomenon of missing within the suffocation played a preventive role.
