《雷雨》的问世与成就 ,是作者主体心灵中潜存的上古英雄神话原型作用的结果。受英雄神话原型心态的支配 ,曹禺将原来定位的旧式女人蘩漪写成了一位具有时代意义的复仇英雄女神 ,而鲁大海则成为一个具有浓厚神话氛围与质地的传奇式英雄 ,由于蘩漪和鲁大海的奋力反抗和斗争 ,周公馆这座牢狱终于被摧毁了。这是远古神话原型中英雄复仇模式的现代性表述。《雷雨》无疑打上了先天遗传的“种族记忆”的烙印 ,但承继的主要是西方英雄神话的原型心态 ,这不仅表现了不同民族、不同地域集体无意识的同一性 ,而且形成了其世界性的艺术生命力。
