9月8日早晨,前教育部发言人、语文出版社社长王旭明在其新浪实名认证微博上呼吁:取消小学英语课,增加国学教育,取缔社会少儿英语班,解救孩子,救救汉语!(9月10日《现代快报》)近些年来对于给英语热降温的呼声此起彼伏,每年的“两会”也有不少的代表、委员欲推动其上升为国家意志,全国政协委员、中国社会科学院信息情报研究院院长张树华曾在“两会”期间直言:学英语使中国的教育质量遭受毁灭性的打击。的确,英语教育的“高位”现状值得我们思考。
