永安,是福建省中部偏西的一个山城,抗战时期成为福建省会达7年半之久。由于国民党内部派系斗争,出于政治上的需要,福建省政府两任省主席陈仪、刘建绪表现比较开明,致力于发展福建的文化教育事业,延揽了一批进步文化人士,创办出版机构和研究机构。在中国共产党抗日民族统一战线的指引下,几年内,文化界人士云集于此,涉及政治、经济、军事、文学、艺术、新闻出版、教育等各个领域。计有文化学术团体40多个,出版社39家(当时出版发行不分家),印刷厂(所)20家,报纸12种,期刊129种,图书多达800多种。在
Yongan, a fortress west of Fujian Province, became the capital of Fujian Province for seven and a half years during the War of Resistance Against Japan. Due to the factional struggles inside the Kuomintang, out of political need, the two provincial governors, Chen Yi and Liu Jianxu, of the provincial government of Fujian Province, were more enlightened and devoted themselves to developing the cultural and educational undertakings of Fujian. They enlisted a group of progressive cultural persons and founded publishing agencies and research institutes . Within a few years, under the guidance of the Chinese Communist Party’s anti-Japanese national united front, people from the cultural field gathered in various fields including politics, economy, military affairs, literature, art, press and publication, and education. There are more than 40 cultural and academic groups, 39 publishing houses (at the time of publishing and distribution), 20 printing houses (institutes), 12 newspapers, 129 periodicals and over 800 books. in
