This thesis, based on the social ideology closely related to historical development, examines and describes the process of modernization of East Asia, East Asia and Asia from the perspective of literary trends, writers and readers, speech and media. And clarify how the development of modern literature in China, Japan and South Korea is closely linked with their social conditions at that time. Although political conditions vary from one country to another, the direction of democratization based on nationalism shows the necessity of consistency and history. Therefore, we can say that the modern literature in East Asia was born during the process of Western oppression and resistance against it. In other words, it is westernized by using the method of xenophobia. The study of the history of modern literary history in East Asia must go beyond the shadow of western literature and explore and sort out the literary history that is different from the modern western and possesses the character of East Asia.
