法国共产党是法国四大政党之一,欧洲第二大共产党。50年代末法共开始探索法国人的社会主义道路,70年代提出建设“法国色彩的社会主义”,在国际工运和世界社会主义史上产生过较大的影响。80年代法共的力量逐渐减弱,苏东剧变使法共处境更加艰难。在世界社会主义的低潮中,法共不仅继续坚持共产党的称号和共产主义目标,提出了“共产主义的变革”思想,主张用“新共产主义”代替过去的“法国色彩的社会主义”,而且进一步确定了“共产主义新规划”的21世纪行动纲领。近十年来,法共不仅摆脱了党员人数逐年减少的阴影,而且持续以数万人/年的速度递增,法共有特点的理论思想和活跃的政治实践,在欧洲共产党中表现突出,产生了新的重要影响。
