Objective To compare the adverse reactions of two combined CF/5-FU methods. Methods One hundred and four patients with malignant tumors of the digestive tract were divided into two groups. All patients were given combined chemotherapy with CF/5-FU plus cisplatin: 66 CF infusions in group A were injected with 5-FU (treatment A), group B 38 patients were infused with CF and 5-FU (treatment B) in order to observe the adverse reactions of both usages. Results Approximately 1/3 of patients in group A developed severe gastrointestinal mucosal lesions, and oral ulcers, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and skin pigmentation were significantly higher than those in group B (P < 0.005), and 5 of them died of uncontrolled diarrhea and fever. Shock. The incidence of leukopenia was also significantly higher than that of group B (P<0.05). Only transiently mild diarrhea occurred in 13% of patients in group B, and the incidence of phlebitis was significantly higher than in group A (P<0.005). There were significant differences in the adverse effects of the two CF/5-FU administrations. Conclusion Treatment A can cause severe adverse reactions and it is recommended to use it with caution.
