Objective To describe the screening status, screening and trend changes of phenylketonuria in Gansu from 2009 to 2016 so as to provide intervention for the prevention of phenylketonuria in Gansu Province. Methods Screening and confirmatory data of PKU in Gansu Province from October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2016 were collected. The data were statistically analyzed by using SPSS19.0 statistical software, and the annual adjusted change percentage (EAPC) To evaluate the trend of screening and pathogenesis of PKU. Results A total of 827,443 newborns were screened in Gansu Newborn Disease Screening Center from 2009 to 2016. The positive rate of primary screening was 14,700, the positive rate of primary screening was 1.70%, the positive rate of PKU primary screening was slowly decreased, (EAPC), calculated by EAPC value of -7.59%, by t-test P> 0.05, indicating that screening of neonatal disease screening positive rate of positive changes in the trend is not obvious; 2010-2015 neonatal live in our province The total number of births was 1,783,971 and the number of confirmed PKU was 433, with a prevalence of 2.43 per 10,000. The overall incidence trend showed an upward trend from 1.6 million in 2010 to 3.23 per 10,000 in 2015. Using the method of estimated annual percentage change (EAPC), the EAPC value was 18.25%, and the t test showed that P <0.05, indicating that the trend of PKU morbidity in our province increased significantly within 6 years. Conclusion The incidence of PKU in our province may continue to rise for some time. The prevention of neonatal PKU is still a long way to go and requires continuous research and exploration.
