每一位诗人都是在特定的时空间写作的。脚下生存的大地,无论呼吸或叹息,还是沧桑与丰饶,都足以囊括一切生死,足以承载所有冷暖爱恨,也足以承受水与火、悲与欢的庄严洗礼。作为马华著名的本土诗人,吴岸诗歌文本大多以特定地域——北婆罗洲的砂劳越作为表现对象,其落脚点在于砂劳越中的人、事和自然风情。从最初出发的那一刻开始,诗人就自觉地将砂劳越当作自己的故乡、自己的家与国,因而有别于海外华人乡愁诗中的异乡与天涯。在第一部诗集《盾
Every poet writes in a specific space. The earth at the foot of the earth, whether breathing or sighing, or vicissitudes and fertility, is enough to encompass all life and death, enough to carry all the love and hate that are both warm and cold, and enough to withstand the solemn baptism of water and fire, sorrow and joy. As one of MCA’s famous local poets, most of the poems in the Wu-shu poetry are targeted at the Sarawak region of North Borneo in a specific area. The main focus of his poems lies in people, events and natural customs in Sarawak. Starting from the very beginning, the poet consciously regarded Sarawak as his hometown, his home and country, and thus was different from the strange land and end of the world in overseas Chinese nostalgia poems.
