在福建省莆田市城厢区文献街,有一座古谯楼。该楼坐落于城台之上,高二层,面阔七间进深三间,周围廊,重檐歇山顶。通面阔40.3米,通进深13.4米,总高度(包括城台)为16.0米。根据《兴化府莆田县志》及当地其它文献记载,古谯楼始建于北宋太平兴国八年(公元983年),是当地兴化军治移设莆田县时所建子城的城门楼。南宋绍兴六年(公元1136年)焚
In Literature Street, Chengxiang District, Putian City, Fujian Province, there is an ancient tower. The building is located on the top of the city platform and is high on the second floor. It has seven wide and seven deep rooms, surrounded by galleries and weighs on the top of the mountain. With a width of 40.3 meters and a depth of 13.4 meters, the total height (including Chengtai) is 16.0 meters. According to the “Xinhua County Putian County Chronicle” and other local records, the ancient tower was built in the Northern Song Dynasty during the reign of the country in eight years (AD 983). It was the gatehouse of the sub-city built by the local Xinghua Army when it moved to set up Putian County. Shaoxing, Southern Song Dynasty, six years (AD 1136)
