著名的1906年4月18日美国旧金山大地震(M=8.3级)发生至今已近80年。为探讨其发生原因,本文研究了该次地震前后的气象变化,发现加利福尼亚州北部地区震前确有气象异常。其变化特征与作者对中国华北地区邢台、唐山等地震所做的气象变化分析结果十分相似。因此在有限的时空范围内通过监视气象变化,有可能预测某些突发性强震。
The famous April 18, 1906 San Francisco earthquake in the United States (M = 8.3) occurred nearly 80 years. In order to explore its causes, this paper studies the meteorological changes before and after the earthquake, and found that there was a meteorological anomaly in the northern part of California before the earthquake. The changing features are very similar to the author’s analysis of the meteorological changes made by the earthquakes such as Xingtai and Tangshan in North China. Therefore, it is possible to predict some sudden strong earthquakes by monitoring meteorological changes in a limited space-time range.
