有关夹锡钱的问题,近几年《陕西金融·钱币专辑》和《钱币研究》都刊登过不少专家和爱好者的论文,笔者读后受益非浅。但宋代夹锡钱的研究众说纷纭,各说各理。《陕西金融·钱币研究》95年第二期,登有山西杨宏伟先先《品泉说夹锡》一文,文中结论说:“这种锡包铜(或锡包铁)的钱,就应是夹锡钱。”笔者对此不敢苟同。 我认为要弄清什么是夹锡钱这个问题,必须先对我国古代冶金技术有一定的了解,也就是对青铜器知识要有一定的了解。青铜器的合金成份约为铜占84.77%、锡占11.64%、铅占2.97%,冶炼温度在1000℃以上。青铜的冶炼和铸造技术我国发展很早,商代已相当发达,曾在殷墟发现规模宏大的青铜器作坊遗迹,在郑州又发现商代前期的炼铜遗址。从我国古代铜镜的合金配合成份及铸造也可以看出一定的问题(因为铜镜与钱币铸造原理相近),《考工记》中记载了古代铸造青铜器有六种合金配合成份的方式。其中对铸造青铜镜的合金配合成份就有“金锡半”的明文记载。根据有关部门对战国铜镜进行化学成份分析所得出的数据表明,战国铜镜的铜、锡比例为3:1,但战国铜镜铜、锡、铅比例不是固定的,特别是含铅量,相差比较悬殊,最高达到16.9%,最低的为5%,汉代铜镜及汉以后的铜
