Labs led by Professor Hirose Hiroyuki of Japan Polytechnic University succeeded in making diamonds from wine. The main part of the device is a stainless steel or glass sealed container with a diameter and height of 30-50 cm. Vacuum the pump, fill the vessel with an atmospheric nitrogen and ethanol vapor, and heat the silicon using a heating furnace. The silicon is heated to several hundred degrees, so that ethanol vapor passes over it and undergoes alcoholysis. Due to the good compatibility of silicon with diamond, carbon forms diamond on the silicon. Its growth rate is one hundredth of an hour. The diamond can grow to a few millimeters. For the powder.
