Objective To understand the self-consistency and harmony between students from divorced families so as to provide suggestions for the self-harmony between divorced and home-grown students. Methods Using self-consistency scale (SCCS), 38 divorced family college students from Taishan University were selected as research objects, 172 intact family college students were taken as the reference frame. The results showed that there was a significant difference between “self-flexibility” and “self-rigidity” of divorced family college students (t = 4.88,5.02; P <0.01) Divorced family college students did not show significant differences in the total score of “self-harmony” and the three factors; divorced family college students had “self-stereotyping” and “self-flexibility” with non-divorced family college students Significant differences (t = 5.23, -4.56; P <0.01). Conclusion The self-harmony degree of divorced college students is lower than that of normal college students, especially in “self-flexibility” and “self-rigidity”.
