通过室内模型试验对路堤下软土地基的变形特性进行研究 ,探讨了软土层的厚度、荷载大小和加荷速率以及软土层的倾斜等因素对软土地基的侧向变形和竖向变形的影响。试验结果的分析得出了一些有工程实践意义的结论 ,例如 ,试验表明荷载作用下均质软土地基的最大侧向位移一般发生在软土厚度的 0 .2~ 0 .3倍深度处 ,因而施工中以地表观测桩观测的侧向位移来控制施工过程的稳定性的做法值得商榷 ;软土地基发生早期破坏时 ,仍然能承受较大的外加荷载 ,对周围土体的强度提高有利 ,为在软土地基上进行“促动法”施工提供了依据
