Objective: To investigate the distribution of ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) gene I / D polymorphism in elite swimmers of the Han nationality in Shanghai. Methods: The ACE gene I / D polymorphism of 85 Han nationality excellent swimmers and 90 Han ordinary people in Shanghai area was detected by PCR method. The results showed that the genotype and allele frequencies of ACE gene in Shanghai Han swimmers were not significantly different from those in Shanghai and Chengdu (P> 0.05). Han swimmers and common people in Shanghai and Han people in Chengdu The genotypes and allele frequencies of human were highly significant differences with Caucasians (P <0.0001), showing obvious racial differences. Seven of the Han internationals in Shanghai showed ACE gene type II. The higher the level of exercise, the higher the genotype II and I alleles, indicating that athletes with genotype II or I allele had many years Sports training, with the possibility of becoming a good athlete, especially the genotype II athletes more likely.
