Queer theory is a cultural theory formed in the United States in the 1980s. Gender problems, sexual orientation, gender identity and other issues are the main research objects of this theory. Queer theory holds that the gender role of man is determined by the social identity rather than the physiological identity, and is often deconstructed to study issues such as gender identity, social conventions, and power forms, thus expanding the space for development in the fields of cultural and literary studies. In recent years, queer theory has been gradually applied to the study of literature, and became a kind of postmodern literary theory. The literary works that describe gays and lesbians are usually the object of study of Queer theory. Oscar Wilde’s novel “Portrait of Dorian Gray” is not only a famous piece of aestheticism, but also a homosexual literature because of his homosexuality Of the important works, Wilde himself because of its own way, bohemian style, and was regarded as the earliest Queer.
