探讨了在环形谐振腔式光纤陀螺中,在构成环形谐振腔的耦合器中产生偏振耦合的影响。首先从理论上和实验中证明了由于偏振耦合,环形谐振腔的谐振波形有很大变化。通过观测谐振波形发现,构成偏振耦合的原因是耦合器中2根光纤主轴间的倾角,该倾角可以用间接方法测量。明确了在光纤陀螺中使用这种有偏振耦合的环形谐振腔时,产生漂移的三种主要原因,并定量地证明了它们产生漂移的大小。另外还介绍了减少这些漂移的方法。
The effect of polarization coupling in a ring resonator-forming coupler is discussed in a ring resonator fiber optic gyro. First of all, it is proved theoretically and experimentally that due to the polarization coupling, the resonance waveform of the ring resonator greatly changes. By observing the resonant waveform, it is found that the reason for the polarization coupling is due to the inclination between the major axes of the two optical fibers in the coupler, which can be measured indirectly. The three main causes of drift when using such a polarization-coupled ring resonator in a fiber optic gyroscope are clearly identified and their magnitude of drift is quantitatively demonstrated. Also introduced to reduce these drift methods.
