温挤压是一种少无切削工艺,从七十年代开始,在国内陆续用于生产。在连续生产中,采用温挤加工时,由于坯料温度较高,使模具的温度也较高,导致了模具的强度、硬度降低,寿命受到影响。如果能使模具的工作温度保持在250℃左右,则凹凸模的硬度与强度就不会受到影响,从而可以进行连续生产。为此,我们采用了风冷和喷雾冷却,即先对凹凸模进行风冷,然后再用雾状的润滑剂对凹凸模进行润滑冷却,把模具的工作温度控制在250℃以下,喷雾冷却装置结构见附图。
