为提高防护装饰镀铬对钢铁、锌合金等基体金属的防护性能,我们利用强化横向腐蚀可减缓纵向腐蚀速度和将局部严重腐蚀转变为缓慢的均匀腐蚀的原理,从1981年起,进行了长达8年的镀层组合研究工作。通过对几十种组合镀层在五个不同气候类型暴露场的天然大气腐蚀试验,三种人工加速腐蚀试验(中性盐雾、铜加速醋酸盐雾、电解加速腐蚀)。并对试验结果进行对比分析,证实了含高硫镍组合镀层和多层镍微孔铬(或微裂纹铬)组合镀层
