2000年7月至10月,成都市文物考古研究所在位于成都市商业街58号建筑工地抢救性发掘清理一墓葬遗址。经过三个月的发掘工作,取得了重大发现与收获,确定为这是一座在四川地区周期未有见过,时间为古蜀开明王朝中晚期约当战国早期的大型多棺合葬的船棺、独木棺墓葬,初步推测这应是一处极其罕见的古蜀国开明王朝王族甚或蜀王本人的家族墓地。专家们认为该墓丧葬方式之独特,葬具数量之多、体量之大堪称全国之
