Many things have slowly forgotten people over time, but Comrade Wu Hongxiang’s memories in the hearts of people in the western Fujian are as clear as yesterday. This is because Comrade Wu Hongxiang’s life is closely related to this piece of red soil in western Fujian and is closely linked to the well-being of people in western Fujian. Comrade Wu Hongxiang’s revolutionary career can be described as bloody, bullying, from peasant insurrection in Shanghang to the three years of guerrilla war in Fujian, from the anti-Japanese war death areas in Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi to the battlefield of Huainan Hailun, fighting footprints all over the river. After the founding of New China, due to the need of work, Comrade Wu Hongxiang returned to the western region where he was his father and fought for him.
