2014年7月23日,《江西教育》第五届全省通讯员、作者培训班在革命圣地井冈山拉开了序幕。来自全省各地的通讯员、作者代表500余人不惧炎炎夏日,聚首革命圣地,参加了此次培训。《中国教育报》江西记者站站长徐光明、江西教育期刊社副总编辑熊义勇、井冈山市教育局局长刘福明出席开班仪式。在开班仪式上,熊义勇指出,举办培训班活动的目的在于加强编辑与读者、作者交流和沟通,提高教育工作者教育新闻和教育论文写作水平,壮大发展《江西教育》骨干作者和通讯员队伍,提高办刊质量。刘福
