九龙江北溪孕育着华安玉(九龙璧)。早在十几年前,华安县政府就已经意识到对华安玉(九龙璧)资源进行保护,将龙头山下北溪玉雕长廊、良村的自然玉罗汉、玉麒麟、贡鸭山、华封高石欧等地,全长约9公里的沿河段规划为保护区和禁采区,现在成为华安玉地质公园。公园内的河道两岸到处可见气势磅礴、岿然而立的华安玉(九龙璧),让人不禁感叹大自然的神奇与美妙。华安玉(九龙璧)的开发利用,树立在“综合、持续”的观念基础之上,政府十分重视遵循在开发
