艺术品拍卖市场里,张大千可以说是近现代名家板块的一棵常青树,其作品不仅量产丰富,一生作画四万多幅,在中国画家中高居榜首;且屡屡创出市场的千万天价,近年来时常给萎靡的艺术品市场带来许多惊喜,叱咤江湖。关于画家作品的质与量对市场的影响一直是把双刃剑,对于张大千却操作完美。记录在案的保守估算,有350次交易作品达到千万元以上。这其中典型的如1982年作品《桃源图》,以2亿7068万人民币(含佣)成交,创其单幅作品的最高价。
