In order to promote the development of mold design, the Department of Materials Processing, Technical University of Denmark has analyzed the design principles of high internal pressure metal forming molds. Analysis shows that there are two ways to improve the strength of the mold: one is to develop a new type of high-quality tool steel; the other is to develop a new design principle of prestressing. The work of developing new tool steels has been concentrated in the research laboratories of large steel companies. Our main task is to develop new design prestressed standards. The results show that the use of steel tape or wire wound to prestress the mold than the use of interference fit plus prestress. High-voltage equipment using winding method plus prestress began in the late 19th century, but until the early seventies of this century, Sweden’s Berg
