所谓道路的就地冷再生,就是充分利用现有旧铺层材料(面层甚至基层),必要时加入部分新骨料,并按比例加入一定量的添加剂(包括水),在自然环境温度下就地连续地完成材料的铣刨、破碎、拌和、摊铺及压实成型,从而修筑出具有所需性能质量的新基层的作业过程。可见,道路的就地冷再生属于道路维修改造的范畴,它是国外20世纪80年代后期迅速发展起来的一种新技术。目前,已成为国际上道路维修改造的主要方法之一。
