我省昆阳群地层中,蕴藏着极其丰富的铜铁资源.在这一地层出露的八千多平方公里范围内,有着开采历史悠久的东川和易门两个铜矿区.建国以来,在党和毛主席的亲切关怀下,东川和易门都进行了大量地质勘探工作.二十多年来,特别是无产阶级文化大革命和批林批孔以来,我们已完成了若干面积的地质填图,探明了一些大、中、小型铜矿,发现了数百个矿点.在这些探明的矿区,已相继建成了一批现代化的矿山企业,使古老的矿山呈现出一派朝气蓬勃的新气象.在毛主席关于理论问题的重要指示指引下,广大地质勘探战士的阶级斗争和路线斗争觉悟进一步提高,促进了地质勘探工作的更大发展.通过多年来的地质勘探实践,我们对矿床规律也有了更深刻的认识,陆续在过去认为无矿的地段找到了一些新矿体,为生产矿山不断地补充更多的资源.回顾以往的找矿评价工作,我们有以下几点体会.
