42V电力系统是由汽车电气自动化对电功率的要求有明显的增加而开发,并且目前已由轻型混合电动车(HEV)实现。为了满足轻型混合电动车舒适、安全、燃油效率高的要求,开发研制了42V系统用36VVRLA电池,这种电池在加速寿命试验中模拟了轻型混合电动车的行驶模式,试验中显示出缩短电池寿命性能的主要原因是电池产生热量、高温所致。因此,分别试制了18V分体式和36V整体槽电池,并在整体槽电池中施加了热管理方法,事实证明有效的热管理方法可以延长电池的寿命性能。
