电子计数器具有高的精度和使用方便等优点,因而已获得广泛的应用。但是,由于它使用元、器件较多,又有很宽的频带,在稳定性、可靠性方面往往比其它仪器差一些。特别是高速电子计数器,它的频带更宽,使用元、器件更多。为了适应高速度,在一些高速电路中往往要求器件在大电流、小电压的状态下工作。电路往往复杂化了。而且工作点往往调整在较灵敏的地方。此外,当电路的工作频率接近它所能承受的极限频率时,器件能够正常工作条件下的外界条件(例如电源电压,环境温度,触发信号的幅度、工作点等)的变化范围大大缩小。这样,就大大损害了高速电子计数器的稳定性和可靠性。
