Karl Orff, a famous German composer and music educator in the contemporary world, believes that the first element of music composition is rhythm, not melody. Rhythm can exist independently from the melody, but melody can not exist without rhythm. It can be seen that rhythm is the life and origin of music. Rhythm is the starting point and end point of music. At the same time, rhythm has the most direct and close relationship with human’s physiology and psychology. The rhythm of perception is a human instinct. The children’s understanding of the objective world and themselves is mainly obtained through the direct experience of their senses. The early childhood art activity is a kind of comprehensive behavior that integrates movements, languages, music and dance, and makes them integrate most The most important element is the rhythm. The early stage of children is the best time to directly sense and experience the rhythm. The rhythms play an important role in the auditory, imitation, imagination, memory and creativity cultivation of children because of their interestingness and human instinct perception.
