Hypoxia-inducible factor-2alpha (HIF-2alpha) is an oxygen sensitive transcription factor widely present in mammals and humans under hypoxia and is involved in the adaptation of tissue cells to hypoxia by regulating hypoxia-induced gene expression Response, the expression of the body to adapt to the key part of hypoxia and the initial step. Recent studies have found that HIF-2α may be closely linked with lipid metabolism. This review summarizes the regulatory effect of HIF-2α on fatty acid metabolism and cholesterol metabolism.
