The decomposition of the lubricant during the heat treatment of the brass tube may form a carbon film on the inner wall of the tube. As a result, the corrosion resistance of the copper tube is deteriorated and it is easily broken. Therefore, the problem of carbon content on the copper surface has generally caused the production and use of the department’s attention. H.S.Campball use nitric acid to partially dissolve the surface of the copper tube, and then determine the amount of residual carbon in the inner wall of the copper tube by filtration after filtering off the residue. This method is cumbersome to operate and has poor sensitivity. The use of non-aqueous carbon method can improve the analysis speed, but the sensitivity is not satisfactory.
