This paper studies the distribution and evolution of folklore patterns in Chinese folk music culture from the perspective of music communication. Through a large number of examples, the article argues that there exists a musical culture model in the folk music culture (which can be extended to all kinds of music culture) to constrain or dominate people in musicmaking and music expression. The article also proposes a universal view through the concrete example of folk music transmission: the spread of music is not only the spread of musical works (tracks), but also in most cases includes the transmission of musical cultural modes; the spread of modes is found in many musical cultures Compared with the spread of the work itself has a more important significance.
