The thirty-two articles of Xunzi are the ideological writings of Xun Kuang in the late Warring States. Each one has a definite theme, and each of them is often intertextuality. In general, “Evil” is a concentrated reflection of its human nature theory, while “Music Theory” is its systematic discussion of musical theory. Scholars from the past, from different disciplines and perspectives, made a theoretical exposition of Xunzi’s theory of sexual atrophy and musical aesthetics.
