OBJECTIVE: To deduce the distance and physiological significance of the condyle moving forward and downward when incising the incisors. Methods: Fifty cases of head and neck specimens were taken through the TMJ region. The depth of the joint and the anterior wall of the joint were measured. Combined with the coverage of the anterior teeth, the condyle was deduced by the triangular formula Stretch function exercise, the scope of the operation. Results: The average length of the anterior wall of the joint socket was about 9 mm, the angle between it and the horizontal plane was 46.6 ° on average, the average radius of the anterior joint socket was 6.2 mm wide and the average depth of the joint socket was 6.5 mm. Sliding below the average distance of 5.3mm. CONCLUSIONS: During mandibular ankle function, the range of condylar processes is limited by the guidance of the anterior wall of the joint socket, which has important physiological implications for the stability of the occlusion and the health of the joints.
