郁香忍冬为忍冬科忍冬属半常绿或落叶灌木,别名香忍冬、糖果树、香吉利子、四月红。原产于我国安徽南部、江西、湖北、陕西、山西、江苏、浙江等地,上海、杭州、庐山、武汉等地也有栽培,在原产地主要生长于海拔500～1300m的旷地、林缘、杂木林中。笔者所在的河北省任丘市华北石油工矿区土壤属中度盐碱地,郁香忍冬生长良好。
