自1979年和1980年我国先后恢复律师制度和注册会计师制度以来,各类中介组织不断涌现。其中从事经济鉴证类业务的社会中介机构,如会计师事务所、审计事务所、律师事务所、资产评估机构、资信评估机构、社会公证机构和税务代理机构等,数量最多、队伍最庞大、发展速度最快。据不完全统计,目前我国经济鉴证类社会中介机构共有2万多家,具有专业执业资格者已达16万多人,从业人员30多万。经济鉴证类社会中介机构在维护正常的社会经济秩序,保证市场竞争的公正和公平,促进市场经济的快速发展,适应政府职能转变等方面,发挥了重要的作用。
