随着公路里程的不断增加,公路养护任务也日趋繁重,被动的等待路面破坏以后再进行修补,一方面使养护成本加大,另一方面也因为不能及时修补路面而影响车辆的正常行驶。为改变被动养护局面,避免“头痛医头、脚痛医脚”的弊端,公路养护应坚持实施预防性养护。所谓预防性养护是在合理的时间内对有关公路设施进行正确维护,在路面尚未发生破坏或刚出现病害迹象时采取强制性保养措施,将病害处理在萌芽状态,从而取得工作的主动,延缓路面状况的恶化。
