大同矿区赋存侏罗系和石炭二叠系2套含煤建造,上部侏罗系煤层开采年代久远,资源已近枯竭,在采空区低洼处汇集大量积水,严重威胁着下部石炭二叠系煤层开采。同忻煤矿根据覆岩破坏理论的经验公式,计算出了工作面开采“三带”高度,通过钻孔窥视和离层监测等技术手段对“三带”高度进行了验证和修正,结合矿井水文地质情况,分析评价了采空区突水危险性。提出并应用综合探测与立体防治技术,疏放采空区积水720万m3,保证了矿井安全开采。
